Mixed Martial Arts

Precision Head Coach Brian fighting in the UFC Octagon

Mixed martial arts is one of the world’s fastest growing sports. Over the past few years every martial arts school, from kid’s karate schools to cardio kickboxing gyms has claimed they can make you the next UF superstar. The reality is that very few MMA gyms can actually follow through on that promise. These schools are not passionate about producing great fighters, nor do they have the training and expertise to do so. They are simply trying to cash in on the MMA craze and in the process they deceive many well intentioned students.

Precision MMA is different. We have the facility, coaching staff, knowledge and experience to get you to the elite levels of mixed martial arts. Every Hudson Valley gym owner will tell you they are the ones that can lead you to success in MMA competition, but the fact is this – Precision MMA’s Brian McLaughlin is the ONLY MMA school owner in Dutchess County that has competed in professional mixed martial arts. He has been inside the UFC octagon as both a fighter and a coach and has the knowledge and experience to make your MMA dreams a reality.

Precision has a well rounded MMA program, meaning that there are experts in each of the must know disciplines that make up mixed martial arts – Boxing, Wrestling, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. Our system has been put to the test across the country and around the world. Precision coaches and fighters have competed in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Brazil and Japan. We don’t just say we are the best in the area – we have the track record to prove it.

See Coach Brian in action!

Unfortunately, many MMA schools have their students suffer through a constant barrage of black eyes and knockouts. The trainers think this toughens up the students, but in reality it makes them weaker by exposing them to unnecessary trauma. At Precision no one is “thrown to the wolves” in our mixed martial arts program. Aspiring fighters focus on technique and strategy rather than brawling. Students do not spar until they master key defensive and offensive techniques and when sparring does occur it is supervised and done in a controlled fashion.
